NorthStar
NorthStar is a multiservice state-certified “minority nonprofit organization” helping young people to overcome poverty, discrimination, educational disadvantage, violence, and other adversity through learning essential competencies and hopefulness with which they can transform their lives and communities.
New Bedford Star Kids Program
The New Bedford Star Kids Program provides educational opportunities in the form of tuition aid to effective nonpublic schools, uniforms, after school and summer programs, tutoring and mentoring for high risk, low income children who have a parent with a history of incarceration and/or substance abuse. Children are typically enrolled in the program between kindergarten and grade four.
The Caring Network
The Caring Network is a program within Child and Family Services New Bedford that provides free psycho-educational groups to children who have witnessed and/or are victims of violence.

#bishstrong is an ongoing fundraiser for DJ Bishop, supporting his medical expenses as he continues to recover from a tragic accident.

Learn to Cope is a peer-led support network for families dealing with addiction and recovery.
